c-LEcta is able to provide suitable enzyme activities for unusual applications
Under the topic “Teaching old dogs new tricks” a recent publication in the prestigious scientific journal „Angewandte Chemie“ with substantial contribution from c-LEcta was published (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed Engl. 51 (39):9914-7, 2012). The old dogs are in this case alcohol dehydrogenases (ADHs), which have been subjected to investigation for a new application, the enantioselective oxidation of aldehydes to carboxylic acids. In the publication it is pointed out that the unique collection of natural and engineered enzymes from c-LEcta is able to provide suitable enzyme activities also for unusual applications.
