c-LEcta presented its expertise in carbohydrate modifying enzymes at the World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology

Parts of c-LEcta’s recent development projects on enzymatic production processes for carbohydrate ingredients were presented at the world’s largest industrial biotechnology event in San Diego. c-LEcta is a leading player in the field of the development of carbohydrate modifying enzymes. If you are interested in further information on c-LEcta’s expertise in this field, please get in touch via contact@c-LEcta.com.

At the WCIB 2016, more than 1200 attendees from 50 different countries in the world met to discuss recent developments in the industrial biotechnology sector. When it comes to biotechnology in food industry, certain oligosaccharides are well known for their manifold beneficial effects as ingredients not only in food & feed but also in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. However, such carbohydrates occur in various and very complex structures which qualifies regio-selective enzymes as the ideal tool for the efficient production of particular oligosaccharides otherwise not possible by chemical synthesis. With its proprietary technology platform as well as expertise in carbohydrate modifying enzymes, c-LEcta develops efficient processes for the commercialization of carbohydrate ingredients.
