c-LEcta has developed an enzymatic technology to produce a high-intensity natural sweetener. Such compounds can be used to sweeten food-products and beverages without adding calories. The highly-efficient multi-enzyme biotransformation developed by c-LEcta’s scientists allows the production of the corresponding plant-based sweetener in very marge amounts at competitive costs. The technology is commercialized in an undisclosed partnership with a leading food-ingredient supplier. The corresponding sweetener product is already approved in many countries and regions and is available as commercial product since 2018.
