Advisory Board
The Advisory Board of c-LEcta comprises leading scientific and business professionals supporting the Management Board of the company.
Dr. Klaus Warning holds a Ph.D. in chemistry and is Chairman of the Advisory Board and shareholder of c-LEcta.
He is a Member of the Executive Board and equity partner of ChemAdvice AG, an advisory and consulting firm for the chemical industry and financial investors.
As a former member of the Executive Committee, Executive Vice President of the Hoechst Celanese Corporation and a former Member of the Executive Committee of SGL Carbon AG, he possesses a wealth of expertise and experience that are well suited to support the goals of c-LEcta.
Prof. Dr. Annette Beck-Sickinger, leads the Institute of Biochemistry at the University of Leipzig. She studied Chemistry and Biology at the University of Tübingen.
After research stays in the USA, Denmark and Switzerland, she received the venia legendi for biochemistry at the University of Tübingen in 1995.
Until 1999 she was assistant professor of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry at ETH Zurich before she accepted the chair for Biochemistry and Bioorganic Chemistry at the University of Leipzig.
From 2000 to 2005 she was managing director of the Institute of Biochemistry. In 2003 she was elected to the boards of Max-Bergmann-Kreis, in 2004 to the German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) and is member of the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) review board “Biochemistry”.
Dr. Detlef Wilke, who obtained his Ph.D. in Microbiology, has a long-term industrial experience in the markets addressed by c-LEcta.
From 1978 to 1983 he worked at Schering AG, before he took over the responsibility for biotechnological Research and Development at Solvay, including the field of industrial enzymes.
Since then he has been active as an independent advisor (Dr. Wilke & Partner, Biotech Consulting GmbH). He is a consultant in the field of industrial Biotechnology in particular for strategic planning and market development.
Prof. Dr. Ralf Thiericke is managing director of the “Gesellschaft für Technologieförderung Itzehoe mbH“.
He studied chemistry at the University of Göttingen. After his Ph.D. degree on natural products he moved to the general pharmaceutical research department at Hoechst AG and was appointed head of department at the Hans-Knöll Institute for Natural Product Research in 1994, later starting as founder and Managing Director of CyBio Screening GmbH in 2000.
Until September 2006 he acted as speaker of the cluster Biotechnology – Life Science in Central Germany. He holds a professorship for Organic Chemistry at the University of Jena.
Dr. Manfred Spindler is managing partner of msp Beteiligungs GmbH, member of the executive board of Business Angels FrankfurtRheinMain and of different other advisory and supervisory boards.
He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry and worked over 30 years in the chemical industry, most recently as member of the executive board of Degussa AG and as member of the managing board of Evonik Degussa GmbH. In particular he was responsible for fine chemicals and industrial chemicals as well as for specialty polymers.
Besides Dr. Spindler was a board member of different industrial associations like the Association of Energy and Climate Protection in the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI).
